Hard to believe it is duck season already!  We have people selling adoptions outside of Jewel Food Stores, we are putting posters up, and we are mailing past donors.  Most importantly we are reminding everyone that when you adopt a duck...you help a child.

In the Learning Center at the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin they have a display of goals that children wrote for themselves.  Some want to go to college, one wants to be a chef, another wants to me a Marine.  These are kids that maybe never allowed themselves to dream before.  They maybe never saw a way out of their neighborhood.  Now they do...because they come to the Boys & Girls Club.

The ducks are cute and fun, but we must never forget why we have a duck pluck...to help the children that need us most.
